On Sunday, May 23rd, the OLL Malverne track team hosted one of the spring CYO track meets. Hosting the track meet was understandably the greatest event of the season not only for OLL Malverne track team children and their coaches, but also for their parents. The weather was more favorable, warmer and dry, than last year. The OLL Malverne teams were running with a blazing speed, despite the fact they were regularly running in the outer lanes. St. Raymond’s teams were consistently running in lanes 1 or 2, but it was fine, we were hosting them. All was going well and smooth.
The organization was really excellent! The coaches were able to squeeze dashes in the program and finished anyway before 3 o’clock . For all the coaches, I want to thank all parents for the work they have done on the track, field, and around the track. Many parents started preparing track before 8 a.m. and others ended cleaning the track after 4 p.m. Every helping hand counted and every task was important. Feel encouraged to comment on your experience and suggest improvements for the next year.
