Our team got stronger for two runners who were missing at the XC meet last weekend. The kids were much more relaxed this time, as they knew what to expect. They were more competitive. But each meet is a learning experience. They learned about the funnel effect. When the wide start line on the meadow narrows onto a park path, the kids have to think smart in order not to be obstructed, bumped into, or stepped on.

In contrast from the last meet, each age division ran a different distance on a slightly modified course. Our team has runners in Junior (11-12), Bantam (9-10), and Novice (7-8) divisions. Juniors run 7/8 mile, Bantam 2/3 mile, and Novice 1/2 mile.
